Recently, the Y883 “Panda Summer Escape Special Train” departed from Chengduxi Railway Station, traveled through the newly constructed Chengdu-Kunming Railway, and arrived at Yuexi Railway Station in the heart of the Liangshan area. More than 300 passengers enjoyed a 4-day journey called the “Cooling Torch Season: 20℃ Trip to Yuexi.” This marked the inaugural “Panda Summer Escape Special Train” operated by CR-Chengdu.
Passengers on the “Panda Summer Escape Special Train” had the opportunity to admire the beautiful scenery of Yuexi and experience the local ethnic culture. They visited attractions such as Puxiong Terraces, Lingguan Ancient Trail, and Taojiaying. They also participated in special activities like the torch lighting ceremony, Yi ethnic group’s traditional dances, and intangible cultural heritage experience workshops in Xiagu village. Additionally, they savored local delicacies such as Tuotuo meat, roasted suckling pig, and the “Yuexi Nine Big Bowls,” providing them with a unique travel experience.
“The design of this ‘Panda Summer Escape Special Train’ focuses on three main characteristics: comfort, functionality, and intelligence. We ensure that the train’s hardware and software quality meet the demands of new tourism consumption trends, creating a new model for green ecological tourism,” said a representative from Sichuan Chengdu Railway Business & Travel Group Co., Ltd. They further mentioned that they will actively integrate high-quality tourism resources from all over the country, launch more premium travel routes, establish a new brand of cultural and tourism consumption with Sichuan characteristics, and contribute to the development of the tourism industry along the railway lines.
